\"AAA\"Nashville, TN <\/strong>– AAA says the Tennessee gas price average has increased slightly this week after declining for five straight weeks.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Gas Price average<\/a> is now $2.20 which is nearly two cents more than last week, 13 cents less than one month ago, and 12 cents more than one year ago.<\/p>\n

Last week’s increase broke a 39-day streak of declines for a total discount of 21 cents.<\/p>\n

Today’s average is slightly lower than Sunday’s average and prices are expected to remain low in the coming week.<\/p>\n

\u201cTennessee motorists continue to experience low gas prices due to healthy stock levels and low fuel demand,\u201d said Megan Cooper, spokeswoman, AAA – The Auto Club Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cMotorists are paying, on average, nearly 19 cents per gallon less than the highest price so far this year,\u201d Cooper stated.<\/p>\n

National Gas Prices<\/h3>\n

Today\u2019s national gas price average is $2.43. That is nearly a penny cheaper than last week, 12 cents cheaper than last month, and nearly 13 cents more than one year ago.<\/p>\n

Every day up to 130,000 stations are surveyed based on credit card swipes and direct feeds in cooperation with the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) and Wright Express for unmatched statistical reliability. All average retail prices in this report are for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline.<\/p>\n
