\"AAA\"Nashville, TN <\/strong>– AAA says Tennessee’s state average<\/a>  of $2.30 is one cent less than both last week and last month and four cents lower than a year ago.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s national average is $2.59, which is flat on the week, two cent less than a month ago and three cents more than this time last year. Across the country today, 61% of all gas stations are selling regular unleaded for $2.50 or less. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDuring Thanksgiving week last year we saw the national gas price average ($2.57) decrease a nickel between Monday and Thursday, that could be the case again this year,\u201d said Stephanie Milani, Tennessee Public Affairs Director, AAA — The Auto Club Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cAAA expects 49.3 million Americans to drive to their holiday destination increasing traffic on the roads this week, which will spike on Wednesday as travelers and commuters mix,\u201d Milani stated.

Crude oil<\/h3>\n

At the close of Friday\u2019s formal trading session on the NYMEX, WTI decreased by 81 cents to settle at $57.77.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, crude prices increased slightly in recent reports (about a nickel) due to reports that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its partners are likely to extend their current production reduction agreement through the middle of 2020 at OPEC\u2019s meeting in Vienna on December 5th-6th. <\/span><\/p>\n
