Total nonfarm employment increased by 9,600 jobs between May and June of this year.<\/p>\n<p>The durable goods manufacturing, administrative\/support\/waste services and health care\/social assistance sectors experienced the largest increases.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCreating new jobs for Tennesseans is a top priority,\u201d said TDLWD Commissioner Jeff McCord. \u201cCompanies continue to show they have confidence in our state\u2019s economy and in Tennessee\u2019s workforce by adding nearly 10,000 jobs in June and that\u2019s impressive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Between June 2018 and June 2019, Tennessee saw nonfarm employment grow by 52,100 jobs in every corner of the state. Employers in the leisure\/hospitality, trade\/transportation\/utilities and manufacturing sectors are responsible for creating the highest number of new jobs over the last year.<\/p>\n<p>Across the United States, seasonally adjusted unemployment also increased in June.
