(Lacy Atkins\/The Tennessean via USA TODAY NETWORK)<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) will be assisting local officials with damage assessments and monitoring the severe weather threat as flash flooding remains a possibility today with the possibility of more rain in the state.<br \/>\n<u><\/u><\/p>\n<h3>Highlights<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Severe weather in Tennessee caused injuries and localized damage to structures Saturday into the overnight hours.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Weather conditions permitting, local officials will conduct damage assessments today.<\/li>\n<li>Personnel at the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) are monitoring the weather impacts and supporting local and state partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Storm Impacts<\/h3>\n<p>In West Tennessee, Obion County first responders rescued 10 people from several damaged structures, and transported three (3) individuals.&nbsp; Henry and Carrol counties also reported isolated damage to power lines and one home.<\/p>\n<p>Montgomery County in Middle Tennessee transported three (3) people with injuries from the storm with several homes impacted.&nbsp; Lightning also damaged a roof on the Dunn Center at Austin Peay State University while a basketball game was underway.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_413616\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/2018-Clarksville-Tornado-1.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-413616\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-413616\" title=\"1A home at the corner of Covey Rise Circle and Green Grove Way is reduced to rubble after a fierce storm came through the Farmington subdivision on Saturday night. (Lacy Atkins\/The Tennessean via USA TODAY NETWORK)<\/p><\/div>\n<h4>There are no reports of fatalities from the storm.<br \/>\n<strong><u><br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>Response Actions<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>TEMA\u2019s West and Middle Regional Coordination Centers are operational to respond to resource<\/li>\n<li>The Tennessee Department of Health in contact with health systems to monitor and track conditions of injured individuals.<\/li>\n<li>The Tennessee Department of Human Services in contact with local officials to anticipate any sheltering needs.<\/li>\n<li>Tennessee Department of Transportation and Tennessee Highway Patrol also are supporting local communities with storm impacts.<\/li>\n<li>TEMA will remain in contact with local emergency managers to ensure all damages there are no outstanding resource requests or unmet needs.<strong><u><br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Key Messages<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor local news sources for updates on weather forecasts, and for any weather watches or warnings issued for your area.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the instructions of emergency officials and be ready to take cover in any severe weather situation.<\/li>\n<li>Do not drive or walk through any high water \u2013 Turn Around, Don\u2019t Drown.<\/li>\n<li>Do not attempt to move any downed power lines.
