{"id":11999,"date":"2016-11-12T04:00:15","date_gmt":"2016-11-12T10:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/?p=11999"},"modified":"2016-11-11T20:15:14","modified_gmt":"2016-11-12T02:15:14","slug":"twra-asking-sportsmen-to-follow-burn-bans-issued-for-specified-counties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/2016\/11\/12\/twra-asking-sportsmen-to-follow-burn-bans-issued-for-specified-counties\/","title":{"rendered":"TWRA Asking Sportsmen To Follow Burn Bans Issued For Specified Counties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-46127\" title=\"Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRA\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/tennessee-wildlife-resources-agency.gif\" alt=\"Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRA\" width=\"140\" height=\"137\"><strong>Nashville, TN<\/strong> &#8211; Because the drought in Tennessee has heightened concerns about accidental fires, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has asked sportsmen to follow burn bans issued in specified counties across the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to work with local officials who are worried about dry conditions caused by Tennessee\u2019s drought,\u201d noted Ed Carter, the executive director of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. \u201cWe are requesting that our sportsmen refrain from building campfires on all WMAs, but it is required in counties with burn bans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Drought.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-364719\" title=\"Drought\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Drought-480x270.jpg\" alt=\"Drought\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\"><\/a><!--more--><br \/>\nThis year\u2019s drought has already been credited for helping spread numerous fires, including several on TWRA wildlife management areas. Campfires may not have had anything to do with those fires, but the wildlife agency is asking sportsmen for extra caution.<\/p>\n<p>Carter noted that just because a ban is not yet in place in a particular county, hunters should keep in mind the dry conditions.
