{"id":11586,"date":"2016-07-25T22:00:33","date_gmt":"2016-07-26T03:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/?p=11586"},"modified":"2016-07-25T19:37:54","modified_gmt":"2016-07-26T00:37:54","slug":"tbi-casework-yields-indictment-murder-charge-in-hardin-county-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/2016\/07\/25\/tbi-casework-yields-indictment-murder-charge-in-hardin-county-investigation\/","title":{"rendered":"TBI casework yields Indictment, Murder Charge in Hardin County Investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-121927\" title=\"Tennessee Bureau of Investigation\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tbi-logo.gif\" alt=\"Tennessee Bureau of Investigation\" width=\"179\" height=\"170\" \/><strong>Jackson, TN<\/strong> &#8211; Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained an indictment for a Selmer man accused in connection to the homicide of a Shiloh man earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>At the request of 24th District Attorney General Matthew Stowe, TBI Agents began investigating the death of Sidney Layne Burks on May 5th, a day after authorities from the Hardin County Sheriff\u2019s Department found the body of the 55-year-old in his Pratt Lane home.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Terry-Bradford-Whitaker.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-351997\" title=\"Terry Bradford Whitaker\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/Terry-Bradford-Whitaker-480x279.jpg\" alt=\"Terry Bradford Whitaker\" width=\"480\" height=\"279\" \/><\/a><!--more-->During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information leading to Terry Bradford Whitaker as the individual responsible for the crime.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, July 19th, the Hardin County Grand Jury returned an indictment, charging the 39-year-old with one count of First Degree Murder.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Agents arrested him and booked him into the Hardin County Correctional Complex on $250,000 bond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jackson, TN &#8211; Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained an indictment for a Selmer man accused in connection to the homicide of a Shiloh man earlier this year.
