AAA and Budweiser urge anyone celebrating away from home to plan ahead by choosing a Designated Driver, staying where they are celebrating, or arranging for another form of safe transportation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDriving will already be a challenge with more motorists on the road this weekend than ever before,\u201d said Amy Stracke, Executive Director of the ACG Traffic Safety Foundation. \u201cCelebrating safely will help keep impaired driving out of the mix.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For those that didn\u2019t plan ahead, <em>Tow to Go<\/em> will be there to provide a safe way home. Whether you are a AAA member or not, you can call for a <em>Tow to Go<\/em> ride anytime this Friday, July 1st through 6:00am on Tuesday, July 5th. AAA will then transport you and your vehicle home or somewhere safe within 10 miles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe <em>Tow to Go<\/em> program is an effective way to promote the use of Designated Drivers and help prevent impaired driving,\u201d said Katja Zastrow, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility for Anheuser-Busch. \u201cWe are proud to partner with AAA and their roadside assistance drivers to help keep our roads safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Since its inception in 1998, <em>Tow to Go<\/em> has safely removed more than 24,000 impaired drivers from roads across the Southeast. It is designed to be a safety net for motorists who did not plan ahead when drinking away from home on celebratory holidays. It is offered based on the availability of AAA drivers and tow trucks during times of high call volume.
