\"LandLand Betweeen the Lakes, KY\/TN <\/strong>– The Homeplace 1850s Working Farm will make early Scots-Irish traditions come to life during Snap Apple Night<\/a> Saturday, October 17th, 6:00pm-8:30pm at Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. Doors open at 5:30pm.<\/p>\n

The Homeplace<\/a> takes on a magical and mysterious atmosphere during Snap Apple Night. Relax around a blazing bonfire where master storytellers, Robert Valentine and Jamie Futrell, entertain with eerie tales.<\/p>\n

Visitors can join an old-time Snap Apple play party and participate in fortune telling games from the 1850s\u2014be prepared for the unexpected!<\/p>\n

\u201cSnap Apple Night is a fun way to learn and experience the traditions of the early Pryor Creek settlers of this region,\u201d said Cindy Earls, Lead Homeplace Interpreter. \u201cIt\u2019s a great way for families to get outdoors and celebrate the fall season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Warm spiced cider will be served. Participants should dress appropriately for a brisk fall evening and are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. The event will take place rain or shine. Admission is $5.00 for ages 13 and up, $3.00 for ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under with their family.<\/p>\n
