\"LandLand Between The Lakes, KY\/TN<\/strong> – Beginning this September, Every Kid in a Park passes will be honored at Woodlands Nature Station<\/a> and Homeplace 1850s Working Farm<\/a>. Kids in the 4th grade can go to www.everykidinapark.gov<\/a>, complete an educational activity, and get their pass.<\/p>\n

Passes are good for the 4th grade student and up to three adults, plus family members age 15 and under for free entry to these facilities. Passes are valid until August 31st, 2016. Original pass must be presented.<\/p>\n

\"Every<\/a>\u201cFourth grade students are the adults of the future,\u201d said Tina Tilley, Area Supervisor at Land Between The Lakes. \u201cWe want them to grow up exploring National Parks, Forests, Seashores, and Recreation Areas and fall in love with public lands! We hope children understand that these public lands belong to them, and encourage them to come out to play, learn, and explore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Every Kid in a Park is part of a national initiative designed to encourage individual 4th graders, 4th grade homeschoolers, 4th grade classes, and their families to visit America\u2019s public lands and waters to discover what they have to offer.<\/p>\n

Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area manages more than 170,000 acres in western Kentucky and Tennessee as part of the U.S. Forest Service and the Department of Agriculture\u2019s public lands program. Land Between The Lakes offers outdoor recreation, lake access, land management, and environmental education to over 1.4 million visitors annually. The Friends of Land Between The Lakes works in partnership with the Forest Service providing program services, funds development, and volunteer support.<\/p>\n
