{"id":10062,"date":"2015-06-03T06:00:42","date_gmt":"2015-06-03T11:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/?p=10062"},"modified":"2015-06-02T21:58:45","modified_gmt":"2015-06-03T02:58:45","slug":"tbi-case-yields-charges-for-west-tennessee-inmate-in-suspicious-powder-hoax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.paristn.net\/articles\/2015\/06\/03\/tbi-case-yields-charges-for-west-tennessee-inmate-in-suspicious-powder-hoax\/","title":{"rendered":"TBI Case Yields Charges for West Tennessee Inmate in Suspicious Powder Hoax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-121927 size-full\" title=\"Tennessee Bureau of Investigation\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/tbi-logo.gif\" alt=\"Tennessee Bureau of Investigation\" width=\"190\" height=\"180\" \/><strong>Knoxville, TN<\/strong> &#8211; Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained indictments for an inmate in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Correction in connection to a mailed threat targeting an Assistant District Attorney General.<\/p>\n<p>On February 18th, TBI Agents began investigating an incident which occurred at the Sevierville office of District Attorney General James Dunn.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier that day, an employee of the office opened a letter from inmate Mark Rhodes, which contained a suspicious white powder and threats targeting an Assistant District Attorney General who previously prosecuted a case involving Rhodes. <!--more-->During the course of the investigation, Agents, working alongside investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, developed information verifying Rhodes as the individual who sent the letter from prison.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the Lauderdale County Grand Jury returned indictments for the 43-year-old, charging him with one count of Distribution or Delivery of a Substance as a Hoax, one count of Retaliation for Past Action, and three counts of False Report.
