AAA says Tennessee Gas Prices Continue to Rise

June 20, 2020

AAANashville, TN – The Tennessee gas price average continues to increase and has risen nearly 8 cents since this time last week. The Tennessee Gas Price average  is now $1.87 which is a quarter higher than one month ago and 50 cents less than one year ago.

“As Americans drive more, they are re-fueling gasoline demand levels, which is helping to lift pump prices, said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Higher demand will contribute to increasing gas prices in the coming weeks, but they aren’t going to spike to typical summer prices. That’s because demand won’t be sufficient enough to drive down stocks levels. Gasoline stocks sit at a significant surplus of nearly 24 million bbl year-over-year.”

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Price Average drops below $2.00 per gallon

March 22, 2020

AAANashville, TNThe Tennessee gas price average is now less than $2.00 per gallon. Today’s state average of $1.97 is down 7 cents from Monday and 25 cents since March 1st, 2020 when the state average was $2.22.

“Even though the average price for gasoline in Tennessee has dropped to $1.97, many drivers are paying much less,” said Megan Cooper, spokesperson, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Crude oil prices are likely to remain low due to downward pressure from coronavirus (COVID-19) fears and the crude price war between Russia and Saudi Arabia. This should translate to even more savings at the pump for motorists.”
