CPSC reports Walmart Recalls Ozark Trail Camp Axes Due to Injury Hazard

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that Walmart is recalling Ozard Trail Camp Axes because the axe head can detach from the handle, posing an injury hazard.

This recall involves Ozark Trail camp axes. The steel shaft tubular axes measure about 14 inches long from handle to axe head, and weigh about 1.25 lbs. The axes have a black, non-slip rubber grip and claw feature. “Ozark Trail” and model number 60111140 are printed on the product packaging.

CPSC reports Ravin Crossbows recalls Arrow Nocks Due to Injury Hazard

December 12, 2017

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that Ravin Crossbows is recalling arrow nocks because if the nock is not fully engaged with the bowstring the crossbow can fail to discharge poising an injury hazard.

This recall involves all white plastic molded clip-on nocks used in arrows for Ravin brand crossbows. The white arrow nocks were sold separately in a package of 12 and as original equipment with Ravin crossbows and Ravin arrows. The white nocks measure about 0.9 inches long.

Ford recalls over 370,000 2015-2017 Transit Vehicles because Driveshaft Coupling may Fail

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling all 2015-2017 Transit vehicles except 156″ and 178″ wheelbase Chassis Cab and Cut-Away bodies.

In the affected vehicles, the flexible coupling connecting the transmission to the driveshaft may prematurely fail.

Bad Boy Off-Road Utility Vehicles recalled by Textron Specialized Vehicles Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Textron Specialized Vehicles, Inc., of Augusta, Georgia, are announcing the recall of about 1,100 Bad Boy off-road utility vehicles. As a result of the vehicles rolling over, a 14-year-old male passenger died in Toombs County, Georgia in 2014 and, in a separate rollover incident, an adult male operator suffered a serious leg injury.

The vehicles lack seat belts, posing a risk of serious injury or death to the operator and passengers in the event of a vehicle accident.

Conair recalls Cuisinart Food Processors Due to Laceration Hazard

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports Conair is recalling Cuisinart Food Processors because the riveted blade can crack over time and small metal pieces of the blade can break off into the processed food.

Ford Motor Company recalls over 600,000 Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles because Front Seat Belts May Not Restrain Occupants

December 13, 2016

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration - NHTSAWashington, D.C. – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Ford Fusion vehicles manufactured November 2nd, 2012, to July 31st, 2014, and 2013-2015 Lincoln MKZ vehicles manufactured November 14th, 2012, to July 31st, 2014.

In the event of a crash, heat from the deployment of a seat belt pretensioner may cause a front seat belt anchor cable to fail.

Walmart Recalls Rival Electric Griddles Due to Shock Hazard

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports Walmart recalls Rival brand electric griddles with model number XJ-14207.

The griddles are black and measure 20 inches long by 10.5 inches wide.

“Walmart” and the model number are printed on a label molded into the bottom of the griddle. “Rival” is printed on the outside edge of the griddle and on the griddle’s temperature dial.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that Carrier Corporation is recalling Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps for repair due to fire hazard.

This recall involves Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners (PTAC) and Packaged Terminal Heat Pumps (PTHP) sold under the Bryant, Carrier and Fast brand names. Recalled units include those with original power cords and those that received a supplemental power cord as part of the 2007 recall.

(Britax) is recalling certain Advocate ClickTight child seats, model numbers E9LT95Q, E9LT95Z, E9LT95N, and E1A025Q, Boulevard ClickTight child seats, model numbers E9LT86F, E1A135Q, E9LT86G, E9LT85Q, E9LT86A, E9LT86H, E9LT85S, E1A015Q, E1A016A, and E1A016H, and Marathon ClickTight child seats, model numbers E1A116L, E9LT76P, E9LT71Q, E9LT76N, E9LT76B, E9LT75R, E9LT76L, E1A006B, E1A005R and EXA116L, manufactured August 1st, 2014, to July 29th, 2015.

The affected child seats have a red harness adjuster button that may stick in the down (harness release) position allowing the shoulder harness to loosen.
