Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit application deadline extended

Nashville, TN – The application deadline has been extended until May 7th, 2010 for the Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit (TOYS), June 13th-18th. TOYS is for high school students from across Tennessee and will be hosted by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
Students will be introduced to many outdoor activities at the event to be held at TWRA’s complex in Montgomery County. Among the activities that the students will become acquainted with will include boating, hunting, trapping, archery, photography, marksmanship, plant identification, forestry, camping, water quality, trap shooting, skeet shooting, wildlife identification, and several classes with wildlife and fishery biology as the topic. TWRA to host second Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will host the second Tennessee Outdoors Youth Summit (TOYS), June 12th-17th, 2011 for high school students from across Tennessee. The students will be introduced to many outdoor activities at the event to be held at the TWRA Montgomery County Shooting Complex near Clarksville.
Among the activities that the students will become acquainted with will include boating, hunting, trapping, archery, photography, marksmanship, plant identification, forestry, camping, water quality, trap shooting, skeet shooting, wildlife identification, and several classes with wildlife and fishery biology as the topic. Applications sought for Photo Showcase

The 16th annual Photo Showcase will be held March 1-26, at the W.G. Rhea Library in downtown Paris. An awards ceremony is scheduled for March 1.
The event is sponsored by the 16th annual Photo Showcase and Dr. and Mrs. Danny Kimberlin, and is funded under an agreement with the State of Tennessee.
Applications will be available at the following locations:
- Paris-Henry County Arts Council (Paris City Hall Building)
- W.G. Rhea Library (400 W. Washington Street)
- Paris-Henry County Chamber of Commerce (2508 E. Wood Street)
- Office of Dr. Danny Kimberlin (300 Hospital Circle)
Application deadline is Monday, February 16.
