AAATampa, FL Motorists are finding some of the lowest gas prices of the year. Tennessee gas prices should hit their lowest point of 2017 early this week. On Sunday, the state average slipped to $2.05, after falling 3 cents during the past week. The current average price is 9 cents less than this time last year.  

The average price for gasoline in Tennessee declined for the 20th consecutive day on Sunday, for a total discount of 6 cents.

Clarksville in Top Three for Most Expensive Gas in Tennessee

AAATampa, FL Tennessee gas prices are falling after oil prices suffered big losses during the week. The state average declined for the 13th consecutive day on Sunday, for a total discount of 3 cents since May 29th. 

The average price for a gallon of gasoline in Tennessee was $2.09 on Sunday, according to AAA, whose data is collected from credit card swipes and direct feeds from 120,000 gas stations nationwide, in cooperation with OPIS and Wright Express. The state average is 2 cents less than a week ago and 10 cents less than this time last year.

AAA reports Tennessee Gas Prices Slip Lower

AAATampa, FL Tennessee gas prices declined almost a full cent during the past week. Gas prices in Tennessee averaged $2.11 on Sunday, according to AAA, whose data is collected from credit card swipes and direct feeds from 120,000 gas stations nationwide, in cooperation with OPIS and Wright Express. 

The state average is 3 cents less than a month ago, and 9 cents less than this time last year. Summer gas prices averaged $2.03 last year, and $2.45 the year before.

AAA reports New Teen Drivers Three Times as Likely to be Involved in a Deadly Crash

AAAKnoxville, TN – New teen drivers, ages 16-17, are three times as likely as adults to be involved in a deadly crash, according to new research from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.

This alarming finding comes as the “100 Deadliest Days” begin, the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when the average number of deadly teen driver crashes climbs 15 percent compared to the rest of the year.

AAA reports OPEC Meeting Disappoints, Gas Price Surge Avoided

AAAKnoxville, TN – Motorists will not have to worry about surging gas prices this holiday weekend after all. Thursday’s OPEC meeting had the potential to cause a stir in the stock market. What actually happened was quite the opposite.

A collection of OPEC and non-OPEC oil producing countries met on Thursday to re-evaluate their existing agreement that calls for a reduction of 1.8 million barrels of crude output per day. This agreement – implemented in November – was an attempt to reduce global crude oversupply and drive up oil prices to $60.00 per barrel.

Clarksville Gas Prices among the cheapest in Tennessee

AAATampa, FL Tennessee gas prices averaged $2.12 on Sunday, the lowest in more than a month. Pump prices dropped 3 cents in the past week, and prices should drift even lower this week.

The highest average price so far this year for regular unleaded was $2.18 on April 20th. Since that time, the state average has declined 17 consecutive days for a total discount of 6 cents.

AAATampa, FLTennessee gas prices declined for the 10th consecutive day on Sunday. The state average dropped 2 cents last week, and motorists should see another round of falling prices this week.

AAAKnoxville, TN – Food and dining are becoming a more central part of many travelers’ vacation experiences. AAA’s latest travel survey found that an estimated 22 million Americans expect to take a culinary-focused vacation in the next 12 months.

Seventy-five percent of Americans feel that food and dining are an important part of their travel experiences and four in five say they have engaged in such unique activities as touring wineries and distilleries, eating with local families and engaging in hands-on experiences such as cooking classes led by local chefs while traveling.

AAA reports Gas Prices Level Out During the Weekend

April 18, 2017

AAATampa, FL Gas prices seemed to find level ground over the weekend after increasing for more than two weeks. Before the weekend, gas prices rose an average of 12 cents in 19 days, nationwide; 13 cents in 14 days, in Florida; 13 cents in 18 days, in Georgia; and 14 cents in 20 days, in Tennessee.

“Gas prices rose the wave of rising oil prices last week, pushing pump prices slightly higher in some regions before eventually stalling out over the weekend,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA The Auto Club Group.
